What Does Spirituality Have To Do With Getting Out of Debt

Debt and poverty are two of the major challenges in the world today. Statistics show that over 46 million people live in poverty and 80 percent are in debt. Why do millions of people live in poverty? Why is the average person in debt for their whole life? Is life designed for the masses to be in debt and poor?  

"The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender." [Proverbs 22:7]

It seems as if the economic system is set up so that the main things we need in life are unaffordable to the masses. Therefore, to stimulate the economy and alleviate this, credit evolved to make unaffordable products and services affordable and also as a means for the wealthy capitalist to get richer by investing their wealth in financial institutions for huge dividends. As the result of this investment scheme, debt has spread like wildfire and the wealthy are getting wealthier. 

The big financial institutions main objective is to loan as much money as possible, because the interest charged makes them and their wealthy majority shareholders wealthier. When you need a house, furniture, car or college education; they are gracious enough to loan you money at a profit. Debt profits the lenders while the people in debt to them have to work to pay them. In essence, when you are in debt part of your income goes to the lender.  

Debt is the main reason millions are still working past retirement age. Most people are enslaved to jobs by credit card debt, auto loan debt, mortgage debt, medical debt or student loan debt, etc. They often live pay check to pay check barely making ends meet. However, debt can be your adversary as well as your enemy. It can be helpful, but can also easily get out of control due to mismanagement or some catastrophic circumstances. 

Many people in the world are poor without any money at all. They cannot afford healthy food, a home of their own, clothing, health care, medicine or the bare necessities of life. Therefore, obviously poverty and debt are a part of life for them. However, believe it or not, it is mostly derived from conscious or unconscious choices which cause the actions or lack of preventative actions.  

Why are people all over the world in debt or poor? It is written in the Bible, "My people are destroyed because of lack of knowledge." In the context of money, this means lack of knowledge of money and its spiritual connection to mind and God. The universe of abundance is plentiful for all beings; the lack of knowledge about its spiritual power is the reason why many people around the world are struggling, suffering and enslaved financially. 

Being poor or in debt is a choice we make. Sometimes these actions seem unpreventable, but there is always a subconscious motive that we may not be aware of that are causing those choices. If you have a debt or poverty mindset, that is what you will manifest in your life. 

Believe it or not, debt and poverty are the symptoms of a deeper problem that stems from lack of education about the spiritual source and universal supply of money and lack of discipline. It is caused by the lack of understanding that the source of abundance and prosperity is God.  

The more you understand the connection to God, money, your mind and the spiritual source that supplies abundance, the easier it will become to prevent and overcome debt or poverty and manifest prosperity. 

Set a goal to be out of debt or financial enslavement and begin to move towards financial freedom. Don't be concerned about exactly how right now; just know the reason why, which is because it is God's will for you. Now continue to work on clearing and cleansing your old mindset of poverty or debt beliefs until the Holy Spirit or God, works his magic in your life.
